We spend a lot of our time trying to make money and subsequently after making a certain amount of money, we look for ways to get more out of it - this act is seen as investing. While investing comes naturally to some, others need some guidance. This list features some of the best investment podcasts in the world, many of which are hosted by financial experts, former Wall Street investors, and angel investors.
Anyone familiar with investment podcasts certainly knows about the “So Money” podcast. Hosted by Farnoosh Torabi, she talks on all financial topics - both old and trending. Perhaps the most fascinating thing about this podcast is how she attracts some of the biggest names in the finance industry including names such as Seth Godin, Margaret Cho, Robert Kiyosaki, and Gretchen Rubin. Together with her guests, they explore the American financial sector tackling common money problems, biases, and even suggesting the most profitable future ventures.
If you are new to investing then this is the podcast for you. Podcast founders Joe Saul-Sehy and OG (aka The Other Guy) are experienced financial professionals; both are passionate about educating the common man on how to make the best financial decisions – as most investment podcast they also talk about everything in finance including trending topics. They are sometimes joined by guests – the podcast is a fun and friendly one. There is a new topic every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Financial expert and former Wall Street investor takes his listeners through the world of financial freedom focusing on life after retirement. Stein draws on all his previous knowledge of Wall Street, introducing to his listeners old and new concepts of investing. He also makes it a point to mention the mistakes he has made through his career and how he overcame them. Money for the Rest of Us is a very personal podcast and speaks to its audience on different levels.
Who does not like making a little money on the side? With Smart Passive Income you can make more than a little without having to go through extreme rigours. Hosted by Entrepreneur Pat Flynn, who talks about the ins and outs of making passive income. Just to show that he is not just about the talk but also lives the lifestyle, Flynn regularly closes six figures and this was all after he had lost his normal day job. Listening might just provide the spark you need.
Unlike other podcasts, Invest like a boss is more like a tutorial on investing rather than a regular podcast. Hosted Sean O'Shaughnessy and guests (most of which have real-life successes) such as Albert Wenger, a managing partner at venture capital firm Union Square Ventures and Abby Johnson, chairman and CEO of Fidelity Investments. Each episode goes beyond the surface of normal financial concepts, diving deep into the complex parts of popular topics such as cryptocurrency and equity.
No list about investment is complete without Afford Anything. Hosted by Real estate investor, blogger, and influencer Paula Pant – she tells her audience how to maximize their income so that they can “afford anything but not everything”. Very similar to her blog’s content, Paula’s podcast goes in-depth into forms of wealth building and is all about getting financial freedom.
Radio Show turn podcast – The Dave Ramsey Show is masterminded by Dave Ramsey himself. Often described as built for radio, he uses his platform to teach his listeners about money matters. “Tough” and “no sugar coating” is how Dave's podcast is said to be- the show is most passionate about helping people escape the wallows of debt.
This is a podcast for “serious” investors – the major difference is that unlike other podcasts that offer a general view on investment, this is more niche-focused. The show takes an outside the box look on the most intricate investment plans and how investors can get from ground zero to the top. Hosted by entrepreneur and angel investor Sam Marks and entrepreneur Johnny FD. It is highly recommended for any entrepreneur trying to break into a highly niched financial world.
